Drinks on Allegra

Recommended Posts

We are cruising the Far East, 4th April. I've done a lot of research, but still unsure what to do about the drinks as there are conflicting pieces of information posted.

Its either the X1 card (for 2 people for 14 days) or pre purchasing one (or two) of the wine packages availabe, which include some bottles of wine and some of mineral water.

Any suggestions as to which is the better deal.

If we were not to do any of the above, how much are the bottles of wine availabe to purchase with dinner each night (a rough estimate)

With thanks.

Dear Jonad

we are also on allegra on 4 April for the Far East cruise. We went on a Costa cruise (Costa Serena) last October and had the XL package. It was well worth it - all beers wine and soft drinks free with meals and at the evening meal the waiter used to bring me a bottle of white wine and husband a bottle of red even offering to open another once these had gone!! It certainly appeared to be the cheapest package. The drinks in the bar were quite expensive - about 13 euros for a beer and a cocktail but the Xl package meant that we did not need to buy too many of these. Hope this helps you make up your mind. We have booked Xl again for April on the Allegra
