Av8tor Posted January 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 20, 2009 The Princess cruise answer book says that ATMs are available on selected ships... Can anyone tell me if there is an ATM on the Ruby? We sail in 4 days (woo hoo) and it'd be nice to not have to get cash and/ot travellers checks in advance. Thank-you & Happy Sailing, Paul
bhopal21 Posted January 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 20, 2009 I would not depend on the onboard ATM for your funds if I were you. What if it is "out of service" as I have seen many times? I just would hate to depend on the operation of a machine that could seriously cramp a vacation. Send yourself credits ahead of time by calling Princess if you don't want to carry traveler's checks. Shelebeen Posted January 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 20, 2009 I noticed one last week in the atrium on level 5 I think. We did not use it, but there was one there.

Thank-you & Happy Sailing, Paul Pick up the phone NOW, call Princess and send yourself casino credit. The amount will be charged to your credit card and you'll find vouchers in your cabin. Take vouchers to cabin cage and get cash. No service charges. Four days to departure is a short time, but you may still be able to do this. Av8tor Posted January 20, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted January 20, 2009 Thanks everyone for your replies. Ouch, $7.50 for just using the ATM (plus the bank's fee) is a bit steep for being able to access my own money!! Thanks also for the info on the advance casino credit...that saved the day. It was a quick and painless phone call and the cash will be there for our use. By the way, we'll also get "miles" for it on the credit card's rewards program - that's always a plus! :D Happy Sailing, Paul
