The prices have come down so much on our Alaska dates that I've upgraded to a balcony and I snagged 9078 on the Serenade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's a trend in the industry right now. I am booked on another line for Alaska this summer, and when I made the original booking, a balcony was out of the question--it was just too much. I wanted a balcony, not the whole ship.

 

But those prices also dropped, and I was able to upgrade from my guaranteed oceanview to a guaranteed balcony for about $400.

 

Not good for the cruise industry, but good for us.
