can you elaborate on the early check-in at the QM ?...we are staying at the Coast Hotel....can we do the early check-in and go back to the hotel ?...our cruise doesn't begin embarkation until 1:30

A couple of things here...

 

cathyz is really the expert on this (regarding The Coast) and Queen Mary early check in.

Perhaps she'll read this and add to my answer.

 

 

 

 

In the meantime, you are going on Paradise, Pride or Splendor?

The whole point of the early check in, is that once you check in at the Queen Mary, you can go over to the Zone One line - and board fairly quickly. Usually by about 11:30 AM.

 

They won't wait until 1:30 PM to start boarding people.

So, once you get there and do the early check in, then you might as well just stay there to take advantage of the early boarding.

 

If you don't want to start embarking until 1:30 PM or 2:00 PM, then you might as well forget early check in, and just enjoy hanging out at the hotel.

By 2:00, the big lines will be gone, and will only take about 15 minutes to go through the check in process and board.

 

Either way, regardless of what you choose to do - make sure that you have already filled in your Fun Pass online from home - it will save about 15 to 20 minutes on your check in process.

 

Hopefully I'm explaining this correctly in a way that is understandable.
