Poker on the Pride

I was wondering how many poker tables they have on board the Pride? Also, a couple of other questions, do they only play Hold'em or do they also do other games such as Omaha? Are the poker tables in a seperate room or area from the traditional casino? My last cruise aboard the Imagination there were only 2 tables and they were placed directly outside the doors to a small theater.

Thanks for your time and any assistance you could offer.

Hi,

I was on the Pride in December. There was only 1 "poker" table, and it was the computerized version. The game was always 1/2 no limit. It is directly outside the entrance to the casino.

The casino itself had other table games such as Let it Ride, 3 card poker, 'Fun Ship" 21, etc.

Not much action at the poker table!

Aloha,

Kat

Not really sure about the Pride.

On my last 2 (recent) Carnival cruises, they had gotten rid of the "Poker" tables.

What they had done was gone to the electronic poker tables. You go to the cashier and buy a card. You join the table and your card amount is you electronic chip amount. The computer dealer deals the electronic cards and off you go playing against other live players.

Here's my problem with it:

In a 30 minute time frame I saw 2 boats batteling one another and watched (twice) 2 people each with 4 of a kind. I've never seen that kind of play with real cards with real dealers. Once in a great while maybe, but never with the frequency I saw during this "electronic" game.
