We just booked our first cruise on Carnival. We'll be sailing on Carnival Dream over New Year's. YAY. We thought the Cove balconies were interesting since they're so close to the water.

We have sailed other lines (RCCL x10, Celebrity x2, NCL x1 and HAL x1), what do we need to know? What are the tips and tricks that only a Carnival-er would know?

I want to know it all!! (hee-hee)

Mike, I have to agree with you completely about the Coves. I have one booked for November sailing out of NYC and I can't wait!

Expect the staff to be tremendously friendly and outgoing.

Make a reservation for dinner at the Supper Club... it's $30/pp but worth every penny and MORE!

Personally, I intend to hang out at the Piazza. It looks like a fantastic place to spend a few hours, have a few cocktails and love being on the sea.

Don't miss the adults only comedy shows, typically at 11PM. They're a HOOT!!!

Don't miss eating in the dining rooms for Elegant Evenings. The food is GREAT!

Grab room service ANY TIME... 24 hours day... there's no charge... the same goes for steaks. Have two or three... they won't mind.

:)
