We will be sailing on Serenade of 2/7 just curious to know if we purchase liquor in St.Thomas wondering if the liquor needs to be packed in our suitcases for our flight back to NY from SJU or are you allowed to take it on board plane? Thanks!

Yes its is flying in luggage...Be sure to ask about the air packs that help protect the bottles, or wrap them in clothes and plastic to protect them for the flight home.

Also, if you are thinking of bringing home alcohol, pack a few 2.5 gallon ziploc type bags. Put each bottle in at least one ziploc bag (I double bag) in case they are broken during the flight. If your bottles are cracked, the alcohol will leak out and saturate everything in your suitcase if the fluid is not contained. The ground crews are not gentle with suitcases!
