Rapsody of the seas - Aust/Nz - 7 January 2010

five of us

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I know this cruise is not until next year but just wanted to know if anyone else is going on this one? We are a family of five and we were thinking of doing our own tours and not the ships. Is this easy enough to do or should we stick to the ships shore tours. We are also a little worried about getting back to the ship in time if we do our own. Any help?

Definitely do your own tours.

We did Rhapsody Sydney- NZ-Sydney Dec 23-Jan 6th 2009.

Booking yourself saves loads of money. Tours booked in NZ are half the price.

Also DO NOT use the shuttle services. RIP OFF!!!!!

What are your ports? I got info from this site and just booked direct.

Look at Awesome tours (Mark) and Indigenous trails (Des). Both great companies and great guys.

Five of us,

If you have not started a Roll Call before, please go to the Roll Call forum and begin a new thread by clicking on Royal Caribbean, then Rhapsody of the Seas, then New Thread. Be sure to entitle your thread with the name of the ship and date of sailing so that others who will be sailing with you can find it when they wish to join your Roll Call. AND enjoy your cruise to this wonderful area.

Update:

I have done that for you. You now have a Roll Call posted on the Royal Caribbean Rhapsody of the Seas Roll Call Board - LINK - and the general discussion P&O Australia Board - LINK - where Aussies (lots of Brissys) discuss Australian cruising in general, not just P&O.

Welcome to Cruise Critic and enjoy the anticipation of your cruise. It will be great.

It depends on the port.

Some shuttles are provided free and at some ports you have no option if want to get out of the port area.

Well obviously they wouldn't be a rip off if they are free. I was talking about paying between $7-9US for a one way transfer.

On all the ports we visited there was a cheaper if not free option.

I repeat. DO NOT pay for the ship transfers. RIP OFF!!!
