After leaving the ship in Acapulco, we will be staying for a week. Do you go through customs or is this just required at the airport. As we have a driver picking us up at the port , any approx time it takes to pickup luggage. And if necessary to get through customs.

You have to go through customs before you can leave the ship. When we left the ship yesterday, it took about 15 minutes. You fill out all your paperwork the night before. They look at your declaration sheet and your ID card from the ship and you are done. We didn't see anyone get pulled aside, or that had to open their luggage. They had a couple drug dogs sniffing luggage and that was about it. :)
