hunt182644 Posted January 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Need to know approx time it takes to leave ship and pick up luggage in Acapulco. As we have a driver picking us up at the port we would like to be able to give him an approx. time. Also do you go through customs when leaving the ship or is this just at airport. One more week of cold weather.:D

CrusinElf Posted January 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Hi Hunt. I think we're on the same cruise, and I had the same question re what time to have a driver pick us up at the port. A friend who is a TA recommended that we see the Purser's Office and request luggage tags that would let us get off the ship between 9:00 and 9:30. That would give us time to collect our luggage and go through customs and immigration (yes, it seems we have to do that) and arrange for the driver to pick us up at 10:00. Hope this helps. Gabrielle R. Posted January 26, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 26, 2009 HI! When you are going through customs they will give you back the immigration and customs forms. DO NOT LOSE THESE!! You will need them when you get your tickets at the airport. One person we knew left his behind in the hotel (Had stayed an extra day) He needed them and had to get new immigration forms in Mexico City.. cost him and his daughter $80 So, just keep everything and then throw away when you get home!
