bridedoll1026 Posted January 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Hi, We're new to Princess but not to cruising (12 cruises on RCCL). We booked Emerald for October '09 B709. Is this a good choice? Is the Emerald similar to the RCCL Voyager-class ships?

Is the Emerald similar to the RCCL Voyager-class ships? Not sure about how the Emerald compares to the RCCL Voyager-class, but it appears that you have a balcony cabin on Baja deck, starboard/aft section. We are also sailing on the Emerald in Oct. 11th '09--booked an Emerald mini-suite just 3 decks below you. What date is your cruise?

Times Prince Posted January 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 26, 2009 What is the deck on the Emerald that has the extended balcony?Caribe Deck has minisuites with a balcony that is partially covered, partially open. Dolphin Deck has minisuites with an extended balcony that is totally open, and extends furthest out from the ship. The attached picture was taken from the Baja deck - the most lighted dividers are on the Dolphin deck
