Balcony Guarantee Star

I booked a BD Balcony deck 8 guarantee, paid in full a month ago. sailing on the Star in 54 days. Guarantee balcony is now Cat. BC deck 9. When do you get your cabin assignment. This is the 4th cruise I have done a gty and always had my cabin # within a couple days even if it was 75 + days before sailing. I hate waiting !!!!! I even did all my on-line check in forms the day I booked. Guess i'm just really bored cause it is cold outside. Thanks for any info.

Hi Maui34...Don't have an answer to your question...I just wanted to let you know there's a roll call going on for the Star sailing 21 March. There's a good group of people and you're certainly invited to join our thread.

On our first cruise we didn't get our cabin assignment until we got to the port. I didn't like that at all so on my other cruises I made sure I had a cabin when I booked.

When I booked my balcony on the Sky, the rep at NCL made it clear that guarantee booked cabins are assigned at embarkment.

 

Never cruised before. All I know is what the rep told me.

This is one of those, "it depends" kind of things. We usually book guar and have always had a room assignment prior to arrival at the port. Sometimes it has been a week before and sometimes more than a month. Our next cruise in on the Star 2/21/09. I just booked a few weeks ago and had my room number within a week.

I also booked this way on the star in early dec for feb 21. We got our room assignment in about 2 weeks.
