LadyBerard Posted November 17, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2004 While sailing on the Century last Feb., I was instroduced to Caribbean Sunset Martinis. Does anyone know how to make these? I just sailed on RCI Grandeur, and they were clueless. Thanks.
tuggers Posted November 17, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Okay, I have the ingredients. These are 4 oz martinis and most start with 3 ounces of gin or vodka and the other two ingredients make up the other ounce. When there are 3 other ingredients, sometimes you only use 2 1/2 oz gin. You'll have to work with it, but that's not a bad thing. Can be quite fun, actually!!:D Tangueray Gin Peach Schnaps Pineapple juice Cranberrry juice I would probably try 3 oz gin, 1/3 oz each of the others and work from there! Happy sipping! Char Posted November 17, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2004 The printout of the recipe calls for: 3 oz Tanqueray Gin 1 oz Peach Schnapps Cranberry juice Pineapple juice garnish with a cherry The ratio I have found to be the best (for my taste) is 1 oz each of the juices. As Gail said, you have to experiment with the ratio to get it pleasing to your palate. :) A lot of it has to do with how much ice melt you get while you are doing the Martini shake, shake, shake your booty dance, too. ;)
