I use the facilitys on most ships ive been on. What ive seen "posted" whether its inforced or not, "nobody under the age of 16 permitted without adult supervision". I have seen young teens in gym area alone at times. All depends on how they enforce it.

If the aforementioned 14 and 16 year-olds are accompanied by adults and behaving appropriately for a gym/spa environment, there should be no problems with them using the gym.

I believe the main concern for the cruise lines and other guests is when UN-accompanied teenagers enter the gym or spa areas and behave inappropriately (a.k.a. goofing around with the equipment or each other and being distracting, disruptive or destructive). Obviously, not all teens behave this way, but it has been known to happen (even when 'supervised' by an adult, lol).

You'll have a great time and good opportunity to bond, too.

Cheers!

:)
