ardie42 Posted January 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Does anyone know how far away from the pier this place is? And is it possible to go there and do the zipline and make it back to the ship with out a problem?
gtaylor Posted February 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2009 It's a small island, so nothing is TOO far. On the view linked below the distance from the Cruise Facility to either Anse Marcel or to Plum Bay is less that eight miles, straight line distance. BUT, the Loterie Farm is WAY off the beaten path for most St. Maarten taxi tours. (click) You'd have to negotiate with a taxi at the pier to take you there, wait for your time on the zipline and then the return. For this event, I'd say that a ship's excursion may be the best choice. gary
habsfan93 Posted February 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2009 It takes about 30-45 minutes to get to Loterie Farm from the ship. The cab ride was $17.50 per person, each way (this was for 2 people - could be cheaper if you have a bigger group). Arrange with the driver for a time to be picked up and taken back, based on when you plan to be out of there. I don't know if this is feasible with the zipline, we just went there for a two-hour hike.
