luv2travel2beaches Posted February 10, 2009 Author #27 Share Posted February 10, 2009 Just an fyi. We were able to put a luggage tag on the case of water and it arrived in our stateroom with only 1 bottle missing! (guess a dock worker was thirsty). We aren't at all afraid to drink the ships water and we did. We mostly wanted the bottled water to take on shore excursions. We paid 3.99 for 28 bottle (it was a bonus pack). On board they were selling those bottles of water for about $3.00 each. So I figure we saved about $77 (since one bottle was gone). I can sure enjoy spending that $77 on something better than water! Sun City Arizona Posted February 10, 2009 #28 Share Posted February 10, 2009 I'm not worried about the safety of the ship's water. I feel it's a matter of taste, and it just tastes odd to me. I use my smallest piece of luggage (the size that will fit in an overhead bin, but it has wheels and a handle, but I check it in, not carry it on) and put the whole case of water in there - plastic wrap, cardboard half-box and all. That way, when it's gone at the end of the cruise, I have an extra suitcase to bring home my souvenirs!
jackdiamond Posted February 10, 2009 #29 Share Posted February 10, 2009 Folks, the bottle water scam rivals that fellow's global warming scam. In virtually everywhere in the U.S., the tap water is just as good.
