The Sanctuary/Spa - Ventura

Don't think the sanctuary is yet on Ventura, it certainly was not on in October last year. Think this is going to be put in place of the courts at the front of the ship when they do the changes.

Regards the spa I think it is about £10 per visit but not sure we did not use it you can also buy a pass for the whole of the cruise at a lesser price than paying each time.

You can also use free of charge the sauna and steam rooms one for ladies and one for men. These don't have the rain showers and the smelly steam rooms etc but are very good. We did use these and found them to be very very good.

The Thermal Suite is £10 per visit. You have to book as there are only 5 ceramic beds. You can buy a cruise pass for £60 per person or £100 per couple. You still have to book a spot as there are only supposed to be 5 people in at any one time.

The only issue you should be aware of is that people gatecrash that haven't booked so sometimes there won't be a bed available. It wasn't policed that well , despite our constructive criticism. However, the lacomium and aroma steam room etc will still be available.

By the way the spa staff were very nice and did make you welcome. They have a very difficult and challenging job to do in a very busy environment. We became very friendly with the senior receptionist as we were in every day. The massages were very good and reasonably priced.

My advice would be to go to the spa as soon as you get on board and book your treatments. They will also give you a tour. We boarded in Southampton and were the first to go there at 12.30. It would be slightly different if you board at Barbados.

I hope that helps.
