Beach and Pool at the port...

I've seen pictures of the pool and beach at the port, but I don't hear of anyone going to them. Has anyone spent the day here? Is it free?

How was the food and drink compared to the beach all inclusives? How is the prices of the food and drink compared to the beach inclusives?

We are going March 24 and trying to decide were to go...

Thx

Drinks are cheaper than on the ship, but more expensive than in the fishing village of Majahual.

We've never done the AI because we enjoy visiting the different restaurants and bars in the village. Beers $2 to $2.50, wife got a $1 margarita (very good and small like she asked for.) Just can't see spending the money for the AI, but many do enjoy them.
