Carnival Excursion in Belize

Does anybody know that has done the Carnival Barrier Reef at Turneffe excursion if you tender to the port or does the catamaran pick you up directly from the ship. We've received conflicting answers. And, was it a worthwhile excursion. Thanks

ME three! I am totally confused with excursions to snorkel in Belize. Carnival's excursion says " no bad backs" is this just a precaution or is it a long and bumpy ride????

I did this excursion last spring. You get picked up from the ship, and after snorkeling you travel to the beach, where you get UNLIMITED rum punch.

 

The rum punch was perfect.......

 

Since we did not tender, we did not get the 'port picture' on the gangway... I get one every time. I requested from the manager (Carnival Valor) of the photo shop if they would take our picture anyway...and they did on the deck beside the Purser's desk. It was excellent....

 

I don't usually purchase excursions through CCL, but this one was good.

Nope, not really. Guessing about 20 minutes. I have a bad back, and my wife has a bad neck. We are quite a team, and this was not a problem.....

Ah...living in a parallel universe then... I was afraid it was a "reef rocket" We want to see fish more than the rays and sharks...have that postcard already. Do you remember how long of a ride it is? Thanks!

I am a certified diver and my wife has never been diving. I am thinking about doing the intro to diving excursion through Carnival. I would take it with her and was wondering if anyone has done the same excursion and if you have a review.

How much time did you get to spend at the beach, Dave?

The reason they say no bad backs is that when the boat comes down. on the waves it can cause spinal compression fractures. I live on a lake and we get tourist all the time with these from the boat rides. We are on a lake not the ocean
