Major Marine Tours

Has anyone done tours into Kenai Fjords National Park with Major Marine Tours? We are looking for excursions and need information about this area.

Last year we did the full day Kenai Fjord tour with Major Marine on the Kenai Star. We really enjoyed our day. We saw glaciers, a lot of birds, whales, seals, otters, etc. We had the buffet and to our surprise it was good. We found their advertisement on their website to be accurate.

Are they still operating as a separate company? Their site and the Renown site seem to offer different varieties of tours.

The owner is Renown, each continues to have their own websites. And equally they offer excellent boat tours.

Are any one of the three, Renown, Major Marine or Kenai Fjords better than the other for disability tours? We have a 13 year old confined to a wheelchair. Thanks, Robyn

Boats are w/c accessable, but I would contact EACH vendor and see what their recommendations are?? You not only want to be able to get ON the boat, you want decent viewing, from a W/C, which some ships are definately better than others.
