FLL - $99 Ocean Sky Hotel and Resort - Anyone stay here?

Has anyone been here lately ?

 

I looked at othere sites for same room pretax $129 - $149 a night.

 

Just booked this - $87 plus tax = $99

I booked this and I am a bit nervous that no CC members have any input.

It looked like a great deal. I am hoping somone has a comment.

 

I trust CC'ers more than most to give solid reviews or recommendations.

I stayed there when it was the Ramada, a few years ago. The good thing is that it is right on the beach. What I didn't like was that I turned the A/C off because it was too cold, and then the room became so humid that the floor was wet and the wallpaper started peeling. So turn the A/C down but not off. There are some good restaurants 6-12 blocks away (Grandma's, 33rd & Dine, Julian's, Aruba, Greek Islands, Village Grille, Nick's pizza & Italian), McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, a deli, and grocery and drug stores just 1-2 blocks away. This is a very safe neighborhood.

You can look at reviews at trip advisor. There are mixed reviews, but if you're just staying there for one night, then clean and safe area is about all I care about. This hotel seems to fit that bill.

thanks for everyones input !!!! one night ..we should be fine. It was ahrd to pass up such a great deal for a hotel on the beach
