Nothin' But Sun Posted February 7, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted February 7, 2009 Hey Sue, looks like you're sailing on a ship just a couple months pre-drydock. Again! Ya, go figure. As long as it doesn't change to 1 week prior to us sailing I am OK with it.
BroncosFan2010 Posted February 15, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2009 Is there a way to find out when my ship was in drydock? We are sailing on the Serenade in 2 weeks and I would like to know the last time it was in Drydock!
negc Posted February 15, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2009 The farther out the next drydock is scheduled pretty much indicates how recent was the last drydock. Since the list on this thread indicates that the Serenade's next scheduled drydock isn't until 2013, you can pretty much figure that it has been less than a year or so since its last one. All Radiance class ships have been in drydock in the past two years to install (and in the case of the Jewel, to repair) the diesel generators which they use to generate power for the hotel functions when in port. IMO, RCI and most cruiselines have an excellent program of preventive maintenance and are continually cleaning and maintaining their ships even while they are sailing, so the condition of the ship should not be a serious concern.:)
