old carnival commercials

Am looking for old Carnival tv commmercials. Kathy Lee Gifford (Johnson then) was in them even then. I looked on the web but had no luck. I am looking for commercials around 1984. Anyone know where I might obtain any of these? :confused:

However, I do want to say that the Cyndi Lauper (song) commercial is just brilliantly done...

when we took our first cruise in the 80's we were half singing, half laughing the Kathy Lee song.

 

I'll never forget that first time leaving port. I'm hooked now!

I have no clue. We bought the video before our first cruise on the Sensation and I can still hear Kathy Lee singing "Sensation, Sensation, the perfect vacation!" :D

I think Kathy Lee did a "special song" and video for each ship.

We've bought pretty much all the videos for the ships we've been on and YES, Kathi Lee sings on every one of them. It does get a little "overwhelming" after about 10 minutes.

 

It seems she feels she has to SING throughout the entire video.

 

My favorite, however, is still her rendition of "if my friends could see me know, I'm on a Fun Ship cruise..."

I've been looking for an mp3 of the old "If My Friends Could See Me Now" song that she used to do. We're making our own video of the cruise and editing it and dubbing in music but we can't find that song or any of the Kathie Lee Carnival songs anywhere online. If you find it - tell me!

I dont know how far you are from Los Angeles, but the Museum of Television and Radio in L.A. keeps all the old tv shows and commercials. You can watch them there and often buy copies. If you are not close to LA, maybe try their website, they may have an online way of getting it there or a phone number to order. Good Luck and happy cruising!!
