How long after schedules are released is the early booking discount available?

We know the ship, itinerary, etc. that we hope will be available in 2010, but DH's work assignment will change sometime in the next 8 months. While we know the change is coming, we don't know what the new assignment will be or when exactly it will be put into effect.

 

The fares have really jumped for our upcoming cruise, so we hope to avoid the higher prices by booking during the early bookijg discount period. Since we buy insurance independently and have preexisting conditions, we'll be out the cost of the insurance if we book then have to change our plans.
