RCCL Stingray tour?

We may be taking a last minute cruise that will include the Caymans. I know everyone here recommends the private Stingray tours, but are any ship sponsored ones decent at all? If not, which private would be best, in the sense that I would really prefer to stand on a sandbar with the stingrays, as opposed to snorking out in the open with them. Thanks!

We've used Capt. Marvins twice and really enjoyed both tours. The office is a quick walk from the pier. You can book online and pay when you get there.

I have used Capt. Marvins 3 times and Capt. John with Eco tours 1 time. But I will be using Capt. John again in April. Try to stay with the private tour companys. There are just way to many people on the ship tours.

Also the private tours are about half the cost of the ship tours.

Definitely go with a private tour. We just did Capt Marvin, and it worked out great. The other boats had 20 or 30 folks, we had 8 of us! The crew was great!
