Open Seating on the Dream?

matt- it works just like a restaurant. dinner between 5:45 and 9:30. if you are assigned to open seating, you go anytime between those hours, give them your room number (or numbers if you are with other cabins), and they seat you. If you have to wait, they will give you a pager.

Your wait staff is based on availability, but you can request a server if you want. Next time I do it, thats my plan- If I like my wait staff the first night, I will request them the rest of the week! Best of both worlds that way.
