can you compare smoking policy by line? pls help

My husband and I are fitness buffs and were appalled on a recent Pacific Princess by the fact that smoking is allowed on the jogging track! Although there were relatively few smokers on our cruise, given that they could smoke in "half" of the insufficiently ventilated lounge, the open casino located amidships, the pool area and all cabins/balconies, the exposure to second hand smoke was significant. We see this as a health and safety issue for both passengers and crew, and would not choose the line again unless this policy is amended.

Our only prior experiences were on the Carnival Paradise (100% smoke free, sadly no longer sailing), Regent (very strict smoking rules, we didn't have a problem) and Crystal (vague memories of more smoke on that one). Can anyone advise re: lines with significant restrictions on smoking? Ideally we would choose a line that does not allow smoking in public interiors (as per current North American and European health and safety regulations), or on balconies.

Thanks for your help!

PS - I do understand that some people smoke and want a place to do so... a designated "cigar bar" and smoking permitted on 1/2 of open outside decks would not bother me, but ideally not at the pool and jogging track!

smoking is allowed in cabin s and balcony s..and in certain

area s of the promenade where ash tray s are provided..

cigars and pipes were not allowed anywhere on the ship

cept in the ship s cigar room..

while our cruise on the Triumph.. it seem d that smoking

was allowed almost everywhere cept the hallways and

restraunts..
