De-Soleil vs Intercontinental Chopin Plaza

Spending 1 night each pre & post cruise from Miami. Debating between the De-Soleil South Beach and the Intercontinental Chopin Plaza??

 

Does anyboydy have any experience at these hotels? Appreciate any advice

We stayed at the InterContinental prior to our cruise on Freedom. It's a wonderful hotel, get a room facing the Port of Miami so you can see the ships.

Don't think you can beat the IC. And you can always rent a car at airport and return to the downtown location as we did, and ran over to Miami Beach to sightsee the day before. We had a great view of the harbor and the room was one of the nicest we've ever had, had drinks at the rooftop cafe.

DW and I stayed at the IC before our Liberty cruise last year. The hotel is great with an easy walk over to Bayside Marketplace where there is always something going on. Nice restaurants, shopping and beautiful views. Get a room on the bayside and get up early to watch your ship arrive!
