Costa Maya Transportation

Just got back from Costa Maya on the Glory and encountered what I thought was a real problem. The "offical" transportation booth at the port was very misleading when we asked for a taxi. They told us several times that they were the only transportation available. They wanted to charge $20 pp one way to Maya Palm. We had four in our party. They insisted this was the only way out to the resort site. Luckily we spotted the Yellow cabs parked beyond the gated port area. A very short walk. The price of the cab was $20.00/one way for ALL four of us to go to the Maya Palms. (a savings of $60.00).

 

Don't be fooled by their offical looking booth and shirts. The yellow cabs were friendly and much much cheaper. They even came back for us at a designated time for the return trip. We paid the round trip when they picked us up for the return to the ship.
