What is on the way to the Grande?

We are very excited to be staying at the Fort Lauderdale Grande Hotel .. I would like to know if on the way from the airport (Fort Lauderdale) to the hotel if we pass a liquor store? We will be bringing our rum runners and I would love to buy it there?

Also, do we past any fast food places? I think that is what we need to grab, and then eat and swim.

I hope the water is warm enough in middle of March!!

To get to the hotel, you will go north on US1 and then turn right/east on SE 17th St.

There is a Total Wine & Spirits in the Harbor Shops on SE 17th St. on your right.

There is a Taco Bell on US1 on the right. On the opposite side of US1 (U-turn needed) is a Burger King and Pollo Tropical. If you pass SE 17th St (instead of turning right to go to the hotel) by a few blocks, there will be a McDonald's and a Boston Market on the right side of US1.

You should stop on the way, as this will be about a half mile to a mile walk to these places.

We (my daughter & I) just "won" the Fort Lauderdale Grande for our pre-cruise stay in March. Hope we're in a good spot. It looks beautiful from their website. We're very excited too!

great location....you can walk many places, or hop the aforementioned sun trolley or water taxi depending what day you are there.....probably about 5-6 blocks-ish to Publix/total wine.....not a bad walk unless it's blazing hot and a billion percent humidity...(been there done that, VERY dumb!)

have fun............
