glrydays Posted February 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Can anyone please post current onboard wine and dine prices in USD. Since I am in Canada, the website quotes me in CAD. I am trying to decide if I should buy before bording. Current prices in CAD are: 5 Bottle - Gold $161 CAD 5 Bottle - Platinum: $179.40 5 Bottle - Diamond - $196.60 Based on todays USD exchange rate - that would be: $129.55 $144.36 $158.20 So - my question is - buy now at current CAD rates or wait until I get onboard?? Bobal Posted February 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Just for info. If I log into www.royalcaribbean.com it recognises I am in the UK and automatically defaults to the UK site - with prices in GBP. However, there is a button at the top which says 'not from the UK - change country'. If you click that and say you are from the US you can get the prices in dollars. I'm not sure if that's the same in Canada, but would think it is. I really don't understand why RCCL don't just quote all the prices in dollars, it's not that hard to do a conversion and at least we'd all be on a level playing field
Spicester Posted February 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2009 Hi Neighbour! They just adjusted the prices last month. I got in under the wire and was able to order the 5 bottle Gold package for $130/cdn. I was worried they might actually charge me the new price, but I just got my VISA and it was indeed the $130, so I was pretty happy with that little break :) Four weeks from today we will be enjoying waking up to a beautiful day at sea enjoying that view from our aft balconies!
