Citizenship Documentation...

Hey all, I am cruising Carnival this April for my honeymoon...and I don't have a passport. What I DO have, however, is an "enhanced driver's license". I am a WA State resident and apparently WA is the first state to start issuing these documents. According to the WA State DOL webpage these EDLs are a substitute for passports in land/sea border crossings btwn USA, Canada, and Mexico.

My problem is when I'm trying to fill out my Carnival Funpass online, it gives me three options for citizenship documentation: Passport, Birth Cert, and "Naturalization Certificate". Enhanced Drivers License is not one of the options.

Before you go asking "is the EDL really valid?"...the answer is yes. But Carnival had no idea waht the heck an EDL really is!

Should i just order a new Birth Cert to avoid problems...?
