I would reccommend a taxi to the Sailing club.It has a pool area with sun loungers. There is also a beach area with loungers and sun huts with security to stop the hawkers form getting too close. The club sells food but the hawkers come along the beach with fresh seafood and are happy to haggle a price, they cook the seafood on the spot and are very friendly, I had some and survived!! Nha Trang beach is a great beach.:)

The sailing club sounds good to us,we will give it a try,but will give the seafood cooked on the beach a miss.

Thanks Jack.

we walked in from tender dock but it is along walk - 45minutes - in high heat and humidity. RCL provided shuttle for USD12 return. Going rate in to town was $1 on back of a motor bike (some even with a helmet!!) or for a cab USD7 if you didn't haggle.

Atter wandering the streets for a while we joined some fellow cruisers at the Sailing Club and had beers and beachside massages.

Our mistress of the haggle Maggie got us a cab back from the sailing club for USD4! They also ate lobster and large prawns cooked on the beach for $10 and suffered no ill effects.

We'd be more worried about the hygiene of some of our local restaurants than we were with any of the street vendors we bought food and drinks from.
