SGriff1317 Posted February 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Does the Enchantment of the Seas have wireless internet? A member of our group needs to have access to the internet for a few days on their personal laptop. I know it's a vacation but you gotta do what you gotta do  If anyone has any info about which ships have it, what it costs, etc., I would really appreciate it! Thanks all! meansun Posted February 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2009 I don't know about the Enchantment as far as wifi in the rooms but all the ships have hotspots. The wifi worked in our room on the Liberty but not on the Voyager. Hope that helps.
lmurf Posted February 18, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2009 And...it is really cheap... only .55 cents per minute...or you can buy packages starting at $28. :)
wrp96 Posted February 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2009 All RCCL ships have wireless hotspots (Freedom class has wireless internet in the cabins, Enchantment does not). The cost to use internet onboard the ship is $.55 per minute but you can buy packages that drop it as low as $.37 per minute.
SGriff1317 Posted February 18, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Are the hotspots in an area like the library, or some other quiet area or in very common areas like a lounge?
wrp96 Posted February 18, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Are the hotspots in an area like the library, or some other quiet area or in very common areas like a lounge? They are spread throughout the ship. You'll find the list in the internet cafe.
meansun Posted February 18, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Yes there are. There should be a coffee shop on board and library where you can use it. Also there is a computer station where you can just use your laptop using the wifi.

Hamburg Avon Lady Posted February 18, 2009 #9 Share Posted February 18, 2009   Just returned from 30 days (of 46) on the Mariner's repositioning cruise from Florida to California via Cape Horn and South America. Yes, there are hot spots on the ships - the library, some of the cafes on the Promenade deck amd the Viking Lounge to name a few - however, the speed absolutely STINKS !!!!!!! I spent over $ 150 on the so-called packages for about 30 minutes of actual use (and that's gving the service the benefit of the doubt). You are better off waiting to go onshore and find an internet cafe - I spent $ 6 for 45 minutes in Uruguay - I think this is a terrible "service" and a very expensive way for RCCL to gouge their passengers. JMO.
