How long did it take you to get off the ship when it arrives at the pier?

So once you arrive back at the final pier destination (ie. Long Beach, CA), the schedule says the ship arrives at the pier at 8am. I booked my return flight out of LAX at 3pm.

Since I anticipate taking a private shuttle, how long can I expect to wait at the pier before officially getting off the ship? When would you recommend the shuttle come and pick us up? Thanks!

you ll first go thru custom s then immigration..

depending on how long it take s to clear the ship..you ll be

debarking..

with a 3pm flight you should nt have any problems..likely you ll

end up waiting around 3 or 4 hrs befor you flight..

if all go s well you ll be off the ship by 10am..sooner if you

self disembark, taking your own luggage off..

having done the shuttle way, Super Shuttle..they ll be shuttle s and

cab s lined up outside the terminal..there will be representitive s from

each vendor directing passenger s to the appropriate mode s of

transportation..there won t be a need to make advance reservations..

the only advantage is fee s will be paid in advance..

We like being the LAST ones off the ship. The latest I have ever gotten off the Paradise and thru customs has been noon because the crew also had to go thru immigration. The past few times (Jan and Feb) the only customs process has been looking at our passports and collecting our declaration forms. Off by 10:30. Might take a bit longer if you are on the Splendor.

LAX is about 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get thru the lines there, you won't have to wait long for your flight.

Okay cool, so it sound like the 3pm flight departure gives us plenty of time.

You read my mind, I was definitely thinking of going with Super Shuttle; they quoted me a reasonable rate round trip out of LAX into Long Beach.

$64 for the wife and I; our 2yr old travels free :)

I like the idea of leaving the ship LAST. How would you suggest going about doing so?
