Puerta Maya Pier

There is duty-free shopping right on the pier -- shop going back to the ship, but check prices on debarkation on items you think you might buy onshore for comparison. There is an outdoor shopping plaza right off the pier which includes Los Cinco Soles and attached Pancho's Backyard. No real bargains here, but convenient. Walk through the shopping plaza to a taxi stand for transportation downtown or to beaches, et al.

There is plenty of shopping near the Puerto Maya pier. You can also grab a cab and travel south into town toward the Punta Langosta pier, if you like. That area is loaded with duty free shops and malls.

Cozumel is a "shop 'til you drop" stop. :p

So, Pancho's Backyard is right by the pier? Is that correct? Have you eaten there?

There are 2 sets of Los Cinco Soles along with 2 sets of Pancho's BY. The original set is downtown on Melgar, the main road that runs by the water. The other set is at Puerta Maya pier. Both LSC and Pancho's are smaller at Puerta Maya.

In my opinion, the food stinks at Pancho's. It is okay but not great and the price........ Yikes.

We docked at the Puerta Maya pier just about 10 days ago.......we found all the shopping we needed right there...prices may have been a little better at Los Cinco Soles than at the smaller shops but not a lot of difference in prices....also we ate at Pancho's Backyard and found the food very good....You will enjoy the outdoor patio and also the mirimba band playing. We got off the ship about 2 pm and found plenty to do right there at the pier until 6pm......enjoy your day.....There is also a very small beach there, if you want to sit and relax.........I would love to go back!!!Nightingail.

Senor Frog's and Carlos n Charlies are both located at Punta Langosta pier. It is about 2 1/2 miles from the International pier. There is a Senor Frog's 1/2 at the International Pier that pales in comparision to the original one.
