BrendaB1 Posted February 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Back bar on Lido deck worked out great for us, right after muster drill or schedule it for the second day.
katiecat Posted February 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Frank & Johnnies we had our meet & greet it worked fine for 100+ people. Our cc group organized it through carnival we had the bar for one hour with a free bar & some kind of snack cracker on tables. It cost a fee of 12pp. it was well worth it for us with two drinks in our hand all whole hour. Thanks Again Miracle Waiters!:)
soazlaney Posted February 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2009 We held ours at the Orpheus aft pool bar right after muster drill. It was great. Lots of room, tables, drinks and you are outside so you can watch sail-away. Hope this helps. Have a Great cruise.
celticd1 Posted February 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2009 Hi Katiecat! Fellow Miracle Waiter here...the meet-n-greet in Frankie and Johnnie's was actually our second one and the reason we had drinks and snacks was because we paid for a Cocktail party (which was AWESOME!). The first meet and greet was held on the aft Lido deck (Orpheus Pool) after muster drill and just before sail away. This is a great location because it is easy to find, it is outside for those that want to watch sail away, it is partially covered in case it rains, lots of room and the bar is readily available. I would also highly recommend that you plan at least 2 meet and greets, one for the first day onboard and one for the first full day at sea. You will have a much better chance of meeting everyone that way. It is also a good idea to wear something so that you can recognize each other, talk to the people in your Roll Call and decide a head of time what that will be. We've found that leis, beads or a certain color hat works well...the Miracle Waiters did not want to be missed so we wore tiaras and feather boas! :D Good luck! Tbay-eh Posted February 19, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 19, 2009 We also did rear Lido bar but on the first day at sea for 1:00 in the afternoon, a tad quieter than the pool area - couldn't hear ourselves think. We found that families wanted to be together for sail away and plus you are just getting settled in. We all wore mardi gras beads to identify ourselves - we arranged all of this on our rollcall and had no problem getting together. I am still in contact with many of them. momofzeke Posted February 19, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2009 We also had our Miracle Meet & Greet at the Aft (back) pool bar area before AND after Muster Drill. Then, we met up at the main pool on the first sea day for the Hairy Chest contest. It's always good to have 2 different M&G's set up for those who can't make it to one......might be able to catch the other. Miracle is great! :D

The aft pool bar is great for meet and greets. I also recommend 2 meet and greets in case some don't make the 1st one.

Thirsty Cruiser Posted February 20, 2009 #11 Share Posted February 20, 2009 Back bar on Lido deck worked out great for us, right after muster drill or schedule it for the second day. Orpheus bar worked out great, but it is a huge bar that spans almost the whole deck (wide) and has a front and back side, so some sort of beads or identifying items are a must.
