We're coming to Halifax on Carnival Triumph on Thr. July 2, 9am-6pm. We'd like to rent a car.

 

Where do we dock, anyone have the address?

 

What are the car rental locations close by, and do you have their address?

Ships dock at Pier 21, approximately at the foot of South Street.

 

The closest is a 5 minute walk from the terminal and is located in the Westin Hotel: National Car Rental (902) 422-4439

 

The next closest is Alamo Rent a car at 2156 Barrington Street

As Acey mentioned there is a National location about 5 minutes away in the Westin Hotel. The back of the hotel is basically across the street from where you exit the cruise terminal. However, there is a closer Alamo location that what was mentioned. The National location is actually both National and Alamo. Also, attached to the Westin hotel is the train station and bus station and in that building is Hertz. Finally, the next closest is Budget located in the Metro Park located at 1588 Hollis St; about 10 minutes from the pier.

Thanks. I checked Alamo, it is right there.

 

Also checked Hertz. Their web site says the VIA station location is not a rental location, but the rentals are done thru the Marriott hotel location. On the google map it shows the Marriott hotel is many blocks away.

 

So I booked with Alamo, cheapest car is $41/d.

We'll probably drive out to Peggy's Cove, then return to see highlights of Halifax in remaining time.

 

Any advise on a gas station near the Westin hotel before we return the car?

Didn't know about the Hertz location. There is a sign out front and so i assumed, you know what that means. :(

 

There is a gas station very close to the Westin; about a 250 yards. With your back to the Westin look to your left and you will see a large grocery store called Superstore. In the front portion of the parking lot there is a gas station.

Does anyone know if the Enterprise at Scotia Square will pick you up/drop off from the pier?
