I called RCI UK and they advised that I would receive the refund as an OBC. I requested that it be removed from the bill instead, and no probem it was, and an updated invoice was emailed through. I just called my UK TA (name ends in a K) and they tell me RCI and Celebrity will not credit the FS back and I have to have OBC instead. He reluctantly agreed to ask someone and said I will receive a telephone call back within 24 :eek: hours. How long does it take to make a quick phone call? Customer service... what's that? I got a nice man this time... he says someone has tried calling me several times but I wasn't in (not true I've been sat next to the phone all day). It seems that no one has called RCI. People who answer phone at TA don't make outgoing calls. The procedure is that my query is logged and staged onto 'next department'. And 'next department' have simply confirmed back that RC don't remove FS and OBC is my only option. Nice man has now logged another query ready for zapping to 'next department' but this time with a 'please call RCI' note added. I have to now wait until Monday as largest UK TA and 'cruise specialist' 'next department' is very busy and doesn't work on Sundays. I know RC doesn't have to remove my FS but as others have been successful it's worth a try. That's if I ever get past my TA! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cymro1953 Posted March 4, 2009 #33 Share Posted March 4, 2009 stange thisI got ours knocked off the balance total? all I did was phone Thomas C**k , they knocked it off paid it yesterday, and being a Yorkshireman, I double checked it was off Like Mick i had ours knocked off the balance by the TA when I went in to see if I could upgrade cabin.
