SlyOldLady Posted February 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2009 I have never bought the air through Princess before but on our upcoming transatlantic this April on the Emerald I couldn't get even close to their price so I booked the cruise with air and paid the full amount to lock in the air price, or so I thought. Over the last 90 days I've re-faired twice for a total savings of over $800.00 which was nice but the airfare stayed the same as I would have expected. Yesterday however, when I called to upgrade us from the engine room to a balcony, the rep was astonished to see that Princess again owed us over $650.00 and couldn't explain why...I didn't complain and asked for the upgrade:). After scrutinizing the confirmation, I found that our air had been lowered by over $300.00 each...again, not complaining. I was just wondering, is the adjustment normal this long after final payment or is this because I called to upgrade? Also, if I didn't call, would I have received the credit? And, if I ask for a big beautiful suite, will they start owing me money?;)

Congrats though, that is great news. :)
paul929207 Posted February 22, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2009 Princess made changs a year or so ago. They no longer guarentee the air price, but charge you the actual cost when they buy the ticket.
