4evercruiser Posted February 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2009 My fiance and I are getting married on the Legend 11/08/09. We love cruising and figured it would be awesome to have our wedding on a cruise ship and then sail off on our honeymoon. In fact, we got engaged last December on the Glory. I would love any feedback about the Legend, since it will be our first time sailing on her. Also, if anyone has gotten married aboard on the Legend or any of the other Carnival fun ships, I was wondering how our non-sailing guests are supposed to check in for the wedding. We're estimating about 40-50 guests attending the wedding and reception.
navybaby1113 Posted February 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2009 In addition to here, also check out the wedding/honeymoon board. They might be more help with the wedding aspect.

We're estimating about 40-50 guests attending the wedding and reception. My daughter was married on the Legend last fall. First I have to say Carnival did an outstanding job and we ALL had a great experience! Your and your guest are asked to be at the port at 10:00am. We had made transportation arrangements for our group of 49 from the hotel (Embassy Suites Westshore)to the port, which helped alot having us all together and on time. We met the co ordinator at the main door they were ready and waiting for us. We were all escorted to check in together and when the ship was cleared by customs we all boarded together. While we prepared for the wedding our guest were able to tour the ship. We did the 1 1/2 reception the food was very good and service better than any land wedding we have ever attended. I does go fast so enjoy every minute!!!Congratulations! Forgot to add.....our daughter also got engaged on a ship, the Destiny and married on the Legend. Will be fun to tell their children one day. Irishlinny Posted February 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Congrats! You've made an excellent choice...our favorite ship and itinerary! Sorry we will be missing the fun, as we sail a couple of weeks before you. My hint for when you have had enough of all the action and want some quiet time...spend some time at nite on the aft section of Lido (the adult pool and bar area)....when we sailed last time, it was peaceful and so nice to just look out at the sea (it is not enclosed back there like so many other ships are). Hope you have a wonderful wedding and honeymoon!:)
