Martinique is Fantastic

We rented a car from Budget (on-line) and got a great deal. We had a confirmation number and getting the car was very easy. The taxi ride from the Port should be about 10-15 minutes 10Euro.

The map provided by Budget is great - we drove all the way south to St Anne and Salines. I would suggest coffee in Roche Diamont. The view at Diamont is unforgettable and may be the highlight of your trip.

If you head back to Fort-Du-France by 2pm you'll make the boat.

Our friends on the Cruise that decided to just go into Fort-Du-France were disappointed. The beaches are the finest you will find in the Caribbean. We didn't find much for snorkeling but there are boat trips to get you out in the water for great snorkeling. Our adventure with the Rent-a-car was the best fun we've had in years. (memorize the way back to the Budget office)
