princess caribbean, Captains reception & Gelato?

We're scheduled for the Princess Caribbean from NY on June 20, 2009. Is there Gelato served on board? Also what time is the Captains reception on the first formal night, I heard it's at 7:00 PM. We have the traditional early dining seating, does that mean we'll miss the reception?

There will be 2 or 3 Captain's Receptions on the frst formal nights. One will be about 45 minutes before first seating, so you will be fine.

As of 2/15 they do not have Gelato and it did not look like it was going to be put in at the International Cafe. But the workmen are mostly working on the Crown Grill (so they can reopen the Caribe Cafe at dinner time) so who knows if it's still on the list.

That stinks! We LOVED the gelato on the Ruby and booked the October cruise as we knew she was getting a lot of the upgrades.

 

I guess I'll try and enjoy my cruise without Gelato.:(
