Galveston Parking & Shuttles

We have parked for a couple of years at the terminal parking lot. This year, we are finally going to use EZ Parking or Lighthouse. One thing we noticed in reading some reviews is that many people say they walk to the parking lot instead of using the shuttles.

We are curious why you do that. Is it because you don't mind the walk? or, is it because it takes a long time for the shuttle to come? Do you walk on your departure day, arrival day, or both?

For my DH and I, it doesn't bother us to walk, but we have some elderly and infants with us, and just prefer to have a better understanding before we get there.

For me, its never been a really long wait for the shuttle. They do overcrowd them a bit especially when people have alot of carry on. IMO, shuttle is fine though. As long as your not in a frantic rush to get there and can spare 20 mins, you will be just fine. As far as walking, its probably just a personal choice (or just to darn excited to get checked in).:D:eek::rolleyes:

Drop everyone and the luggage at the terminal, one it makes for fewer folks to ride in the shuttle, and if you decide to walk, fewer folks who have to walk. EZ park is 5 minutes of easy walking to the front door at the pier, maybe less. It is like 2 blocks of walking...less walking than at Muster.

I just assume walk so I can move at my pace instead of at EZ Park or other pax pace.

Enjoy the cruise whatever you choose!!!
