Punta del Este recommandation

Anybody who has been there or has an idea what to do? Any suggestions?

Casa Pueblo is a must-see. Also, the leather shopping in Punta del Este was very good--better than in Argentina, to our surprise. There's a very good art museum. The name is escaping me right now. If you do a search, you'll find my post with more details. We were there in Dec 2008.

We just wandered around and really enjoyed the warmth after quite a few cool days. It's just a few blocks from the bay to the ocean. We enjoyed seeing a variety of different birds, etc. Lots of nice restaurants along the water with wonderful sangria.
