If I book a 3 or 4 day Carnival cruise - does this count as a sailing towards getting my platinum status?

Thanks, Mona. I was thinking of booking two 3 or 4 day cruises back to back - I am close to Platinum and I really want the status so that I can get guaranteed early dining.

 

I wonder if I booked back to back if they would consider them two separate sailings?

back to backs are considered 2 seperate sailings for getting platinum status... If your goal is platinum then back to backs will get you there much quicker ;)

There are also 2 day cruise to no where out of some ports.

 

Back to Backs combined with the early saver rates are the way to build cruise counts.

 

Certain embarkation ports are cheaper than other ports with the same ports of call. Mobile will be cheaper than New Orleans or Galveston.

Yep - my 2 day cruises to nowhere count towards the total. :D Some people have argued that it's not fair to count the shorter cruises but Carnival doesn't see it that way. Besides - who's to say what you spent on each cruise? Those CTNs are often more expensive than a 5 or 7 day are. :eek:

Is it really worth it.

I have 7 carnival cruises under my belt;but there are better cruises out

there.

I myself will never take a carnival cruise again,unless i get a deal or

proposition i cannot refuse.
