BEST dinner and Tango spot

Seal

Recommended Posts

My husband and I enjoyed Tango Rojo at the Faena Hotel and Universe in Jan. We did not have the dinner package - just the show. Some people recommend eating at a nice restaurant and then going to the tango show.

I have heard that the dinner at the Faena is decent but I can't say from experience. Also, I have read many positive recommendations for other shows. That makes me think that most of the shows are enjoyable.:)

Have fun!!!

This is my first post here! My favorite destination is Buenos Aires! I have gone a few times and to a bunch of tango shows. My favorites are La Esquina de Carlos Gardel (with a suprisingly delicious dinner along with it) and the show at Cafe Tortoni near the Plaza de Mayo. The only thing that was difficult was that we rented an apartment instead of staying in a hotel so we were at a loss concerning how to plan that night - and everything else. The rental company contacted a concierge service that was spectacular and planned everything - they are English speakers which also made the transations and planning a lot more comfortable for us. i do suggest them to other cruisers- they seem to specialize in that

We had both an excellent dinner and a terrific tango show at Piazolla. It is in the business district and in the lower level of a street mall and is a theater from long ago that has recently been restored. The meal was excellent!!!! Of course we ate the huge portion of Argentian steak.

we just returned from BA and enjoyed a great tango show at Piazzola Tango. We ate at another restaurant before we went - wish we had not done that. The "snacks" served in the box seats - you do want to get box seats - are fabulous and will be all you need to eat - you won't want to eat before you go. Tickets in the box seat area including free drinks and snacks (define free!) were about $87 per person. Definately worth it.
