Perfect Stranger Posted March 31, 2009 #51 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Sounds like the message was clearly "Quit drinking and get the heck out of here".
Floridasunshine31 Posted March 31, 2009 #52 Share Posted March 31, 2009 Looking forward to your review Floridasunshine31 - we are booked at Mr. Sanchos for our upcoming cruise the week of April 18/09 - CANNOT WAIT!!!! We exited, met our other CC members and grabbed a cab. Taxi one way for 6 of us was $32 I thought the sign said $30, but planned on tipping a couple of dollars. We arrived at about 8:45 island time and at the entrance we were greeted by a nice gentleman I explained that we had purchased our AI package online and he escorted us to the bar area. Another guy approached us and asked for our confirmation, YIKES  I forgot it. He then got on the phone and called Oliver as I had remembered that name from the form. A minute later we were taken to our chairs and explained that the area on the beach in front of the bar was for AI people only, we were introduced to our waiter and he quickly got our drink order. We all had a blast and there is truly no limit to the food and drink. My CC sister, and I went for the horseback tour and that also was a treat as you ride on the beach and through the jungle, we seen a lot of iguanas, and birds. Well worth the $30 per person for the nearly hour ride. We returned to our friends and it was getting warm so we asked to sit under cover in the bar area, they told us to go pick a seat and they would bring our food and snacks up to us. Restrooms A+, Drinks Another A+, Food was incredible. We have been to Cozumel roughly 10 times and this was the best experience we have ever had!!!! cruisincarnival Posted April 1, 2009 #53 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks Blessed and Fla, I had thought about booking the horseback riding through carrie with our AI to Mr. Sanchos.. after reading the reviews I am for sure booking it now. So I am assuming there is a guide with you the entire time? Were the horses mostly calm? I know silly question but I really have never been a horse rider but have always wanted to try it. Thanks for your info!

So I am assuming there is a guide with you the entire time? Were the horses mostly calm? I know silly question but I really have never been a horse rider but have always wanted to try it. Thanks for your info! Yes it is a guided tour, and the horses are well behaved and seemed to be in great condition. I have not rode since I was young and had no problem with the horses attitude, the only thing she wanted to do was stop for a leaf or two. You will love it!!! Cloverfield Posted April 1, 2009 #55 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Thanks for the review - we are so excited, not only for the cruise, but the excursion to Mr. Sanchos!! Glad to hear you had such a good time. I do have a quick question on the food - what were some of the items you enjoyed most??? I've looked at the menu online and it looks awesome, but I am travelling with a picky husband!!!
Perfect Stranger Posted April 1, 2009 #56 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Can anyone recommend good tropical drinks that aren't too boozy tasting and won't hit us like a ton of bricks?
blessedwith12 Posted April 1, 2009 #57 Share Posted April 1, 2009 We had steak fajitas, guacamole, and coconut shrimp. All of it was good - especially the fajitas and the shrimp. They had very large portions. I'm not a drinker - I only had a virgin strawberry daiquiri, so I can't help you with that.

shoes4me Posted April 2, 2009 #60 Share Posted April 2, 2009 So am I correct in thinking we do not need a reservation in advance to go to Mr. Sanchos? Since my mother will be with us I am not making excursion reservations in advance since she may not want/be able to get off the ship and she will need one of us to stay with her. We would like to go there to snorkel and ride the horses so we can pay for this once we get there right?
flatman Posted April 2, 2009 #61 Share Posted April 2, 2009 What do people do with there belongings and valuables when they go on the snorkel tour or the horseback tour or into the water at Mr Sanchos? Are there any lockers?
Cloverfield Posted April 2, 2009 #62 Share Posted April 2, 2009 You do not need to pre-book Mr. Sanchos - however, it will cost roughly $10.00 more per person if you just show up.

hotpinkpanther Posted April 2, 2009 #64 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Can anyone recommend good tropical drinks that aren't too boozy tasting and won't hit us like a ton of bricks? They have a drink served in a coconut, it was yummy, sort of like a pina colada
hotpinkpanther Posted April 2, 2009 #65 Share Posted April 2, 2009 Blessedwith12 - can you tell me what time Mr. Sanchos shut down at? We were hoping to have lunch and dinner there, but I am reading they start to close up around 3:30pm??? We stayed until going on 5, there were other people there too so we didn't feel like they were pushing us out the door.

Chell-y-Bell Posted April 3, 2009 #75 Share Posted April 3, 2009 Well, I did it. I booked the All Inclusive. :D I think I did it through Carrie, but nothing ever came up with her name on it. It was all automated. I put in my request for reservation on tourcozumel dot net and got an email to pay through pay pal. I clicked the link and gave pay pal all my information. A couple seconds later I got a confirmation email. Is this how everyone else did it? I'm excited. I was planning on puting away $80 to cover food and drinks for the b/f and myself so to pay that same amount and get the boost in location and service seems like a no brainer. I hope it's as nice as everyone says. Only one year to go! Oh well. I'll just have to plan another cruise while I wait!!!
