Personally I would recommend a taxit tour that includes Brimstone Hill Fortress (a UNESCO world heritage site) and Caribelle Batik/Romney Manor (if you like batik, you can get some nice stuff here and the gardens are quite nice).

There are a number of choices including:

- a catamaran and snorkeling cruise on the Spirit of St Kitts

- rain forest hike with Greg Safaris

- kayaking and snorkeling tour with Turtle Tours

- sugar train ride

- scuba diving tours (Kenneth's Dive Center highly recommended)

- horseback riding on the beach or in the rainforest

- fun bike tour on quad bikes

- half day plantation tour with Greg Safaris

-Island tour with stops at tourist attractions such as Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, Caribelle Batik and Romney Manor (I recommend Ilva Wallace)

- relax on one of the beaches and sip drinks at a beach bar

- take a drive along the scenic Southeast Peninsula, then stop for lunch at Turtle Beach Bar and Restaurant. You can see and photograph monkeys at Turtle Beach.

- play golf at Royal St Kitts Golf course

- visit the casino at the Marriott

- take a walking tour of Historic Basseterre and visit some places of interest such as the National Museum housed in the Old Treasury building, St Georges Anglican Church, the Catholic Co-Cathedral, Independence Square, the Berkley Memorial (This Historic Basseterre tour is a popular tour)

We did the Sugar Train back in July. We had a great time and the scenery was beautiful and you also got to see what the locals life was like. Some people have complained about the tour, but others have really liked it. We enjoyed it and it was different from alot of the other offerings.

Do you have to be certified to do the scuba dive? If not, do they go beyond the typical "Discover Scuba" dive?

I keep seeing the name Ilva Wallace as the best taxi tour on the island. We are booked on a tour that includes St Kitts in March 05. How do you go about contacting her or them, or how do you find them when you reach port.
