lovethatdrtywater Posted March 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2009 Hello I'm pretty new to cruisecritic, as this is my first post.. However, I have been lurking on the site for quite some time. I am aware of the search function, yet it hasn't yielded any exact results. That being said, I'm new to NCL. On Carnival, with whom I've sailed before, they did give a last call. However, I've heard through the grapevine that at least one of the bars will stay open until the last person leaves? I plan on tipping extra as I'm in the service industry myself .. but will they stay open anyways? Any info would be appreciated in my quest for the answer! Toyz711 Posted March 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2009 port intense cruises tend to get quiet early...like alaska or my cruise on the spirit to west caribe. what ship and what ports?
bakerintn Posted March 4, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2009 In the Freestyle Dailies they list the closing hour for each bar a "whenever"....not much help, but sounds like if they have a few customers they stay open. I would guess that if it was down to 1 customer and it was after 2am they would close.
lovethatdrtywater Posted March 5, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted March 5, 2009 Thanks... Yeah it's on the spirit, but a repo cruise.. so quite a few days at sea. Especially in a row. So we'll see. Thanks for getting back to me!
newmexicoNita Posted March 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2009 As said a few posts back, it pretty much depends on how busy the bar is, if there are people wanting to spend thier money the bar is glad to oblige, if it is down to a few people or only one, they will close.. macdadsjaw Posted March 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2009 I think you could always get something at Blue Lagoon, I went there for 2:30 am mozz sticks and they asked if we wanted drinks. Although, I heard those words so many times on the cruise, maybe I just imagined it :)
Fishbait17 Posted March 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2009 The only times the bars ever closed before we were ready were the last night of each cruise. They set a time to close out the onboard accounts, and you can't charge drinks after that. Usually we are in the casino, and it closes not too long after, so it's not a big deal. We have had them bring us a comp bottle of wine to close the casino with, but no charging drinks after they close your account. Otherwise, we have never had an issue.
